Greenlight makes a debit card for kids and a useful mobile app that empowers parents with convenient controls to safely manage family finances and create teachable moments around earning, spending, saving and giving.

We are seeking a Copywriter to join our Marketing team and help mold our communications. From short, witty captions to long-form web content, to scripts, taglines and in-app UX copy, the Copywriter will help communicate the value and mission of Greenlight to families across the country.

The best candidate has an uncanny ability to take on a personality and express it through written word. He/she will have done it for a few B2C brands and has a portfolio worth writing home about (see what we did there).

You will:

  • Draft copy across various channels, including social media, web, blog, email and in the Greenlight app
  • Flex your creative writing skills to craft editorial content as needed for ongoing press and investor relations efforts
  • Review and proofread different types of marketing and communications deliverables
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and design teams to develop harmonious brand deliverables
  • Deliver work on time. Work with urgency and the independence to manage your own time
  • Contribute to Greenlight brand definition and tone of voice development

You are:

  • An impeccable copywriter with an impressive portfolio of digital content
  • Able to write content across multiple channels
  • Able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Organized, accountable, and action-oriented

You bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in agency or client side
  • BS/BA degree
  • Impeccable copywriting skills with an impressive portfolio of digital content
  • Base knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices
  • Bonus points for an interest in or experience with personal finance

What we’re building:

Greenlight helps parents raise financially-smart kids with a debit card for kids that parents manage by app. The new way for parents to give money and pay allowances to their children, Greenlight is safer, easier, and more flexible than using cash. Parents can choose the exact stores where their kids can spend and how much money they can spend. With these safeguards and supervision, kids learn to make their own financial decisions. Parents can encourage saving by setting an interest rate--paid by the parent--that is well-above any they would find at a bank. Kids learn about compound interest from seeing their own savings grow meaningfully. To-date, kids have saved over $6M with Greenlight.
