Senior Manager, Content Strategy

The Sr. Manager, Content Strategy is responsible for leading our digital content strategy and managing editorial calendars to drive engagement growth of our customers. The ideal candidate is a has strong editorial and copywriting instincts, possesses a proven ability in shaping and delivering editorial voice. This person will partner with team members across email, social, push, public relations and creative. The Sr. Manager, Content Strategy must thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing deadlines to drive success.

The Role:

  • Establish and implement the editorial direction of all digital content, and help ensure the content meets or exceeds standards
  • Develop and manage unique, entertaining content that performs on multiple platforms, including social, email, the blog, press releases, articles for media partners, and more
  • Execute content strategy and editorial calendar to drive engagement and brand equity 
  • Support Director of Product Marketing and other marketing team members on copywriting needs to support product launches and drive customer engagement
  • Support PR outreach by writing by-lined columns, articles, press releases, and more
  • Oversee all aspects of the Greenlight Blog and social channels, including content development and production
  • Work with the Director of Product Marketing to oversee larger website initiatives such as calendar planning and brand positioning
  • Understand the competitive landscape and user needs, and help translate that into compelling content for current and prospective customers
  • Analyze metrics that demonstrate improvement in content quality (unique, user frequency/duration) and implement revisions to achieve goals
  • Help manage online/mobile traffic and analytical requests

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in a marketing, market research, copywriting or copy editing capacity
  • BA/BS preferred in Journalism, Communication or related creative field
  • Able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines; organized, detail-oriented and friendly
  • Proven track record of creating and executing effective editorial content programs
  • Passion for financial literacy and general financial industry trends.
  • Sharp creative instincts
  • Strong editing and writing skills required
  • Familiarity with Asana and/or other project management applications preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as a collaborator on a team.
